Come and discover the Allot furniture at Galerie Dauvet the last French gold beater. Further a Chest of drawer Delorme Chinese lacquer of XVIIIth century style and two easychairs Ancelet covered with a Lampas, you would discover a multitude of tools and supplies necessary for the achievement of gilding work.
Dauvet, since its foundation in 1834, has been the French point of reference for gold leaves. Each year the company manufactures over 1,500,000, that is, 30 kg, of leaves. It activities include furniture gilding, monuments, porcelain and enamels. Dauvet has a 30 to 35% share of the gold leaf market in France. Dauvet gold leaves have adorned several prestigious monuments such as Dome des Invalides, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, the Statue of Liberty in New York and the dome of the Orthodox Church in Geneva. For its manufacturing process, the company has 15 alloys ranging from 98 0/00 to 200 0/00. The company works mainly for businesses but also supplies private individuals.
